Have you ever made a Powerpoint but it didn’t really look or feel like your best work? Well thats probably because its not. Adding Youtube videos directly into your presentation will make it much more appeling to your viewers! Now to do this, first:
- Open Microsoft PowerPoint
- Go to View > Toolbars. From the Toolbars menu, choose “Control Toolbox”
- Choose the box that looks like two tools crossing each other. (it should be that last box)
- Scroll down until you find “Shockwave Flash Object”; select it. Then on your slide, click and drag to make a box. The box should have a black X in the middle.
- Open up your favorite internet browser and go to the video you want to put in your presentation.
- Copy the URL which will look something like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGPjB4qzUy8
- Take the “watch?v=FGPjB4qzUy8″ and simply change it to “watch/v/FGPjB4qzUy8″. (All I did was change the ? and = to a /)
- The final URL should look like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/FGPjB4qzUy8
- Copy the new URL and go back to your PowerPoint. Right click on the box you made earlier and select properties.
- Then find “movie” and click on the box across from that. Paste the new URL into that spot. Click the X to close that window.
- Finally, play your Powerpoint and the Youtube video will appear like magic!
*If you are wondering what all the other options around “movie” are for, leave a comment below and I will be sure to answer you!

Did you know if you tap the sides of a soda, even if it was shaking prior to opening it won’t explode? A soda consists of air and liquid, when a can is opened all the air will rush out of the can. When a soda is shaken, air pockets are created in the liquid around the edges of the can. When one taps the sides these air pockets break off the edge and return to above the liquid.
This is only a theory there are people out there that do not believe this work, a lot o the “disproofs” I have seen have them tap the top of the can not the sides. I have done studies , you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.(Anchor Man Reference)
Oh if you decide to test this out let us know in the comments! I’m sure we will have a lot of disbelievers out there.

Ok so your at school and you decide you want to do some quick coding or just mess around with your friends computer. You go to use your favorite program “notepad”, but you realize the admins of the school have removed it. All you have to do is open any browser (I prefer Firefox), right click, and select an option that says either “view page source” or “view source”. Notepad should open with a bunch of info on the web page your viewing. Just delete all of that, type whatever you want in the blank space, and save on your desktop. Now you will always have Notepad whenever you need it!

If you eat out a lot, you know that the drive thru is a convenient way to your fast food when you’re on the run. But although it’s convenient, it’s not always the fastest. In this tutorial I will share my McDonalds Ninja experience with you all and tell you exactly how to get faster service.
-
Plan Ahead
If you can, Try to figure out what you want before you get to the drive thru. Not only will it save some time, but it also improves the quality of your order. This is because most fast food places have a drive thru timer and “Time Targets”. At my McDonalds, we need to get people out within 150 Seconds (Starting when they first pull in). If you take more than this time just ordering, you’ll probably find that your order was thrown together and incomplete just because they wanted to get you out of the way.
-
Don’t Turn Your Money Into Art
If you’re forced to wait in line for a few minutes, resist the urge to turn your money into origami. It’s very annoying for the employee to have to unfold these and it messes up the money. (A lot of customers will yell at employees if they get wrinkled up money in their change)
-
Be Polite
One of the things that the employees will notice is your mood toward them. At most restaurants, the employee will say “Hi, welcome to (Their Resteraunt). How are you today?” If you just ignore them and shove the money in their face they probably wont care too much about making you happy. Just be polite and answer them. If they think of you as a polite customer, the chases are they will work faster to get you your food.
-
Don’t Check Your Order In Line
If you want to check your order’s accuracy you should move out of line and park in a nearby space. It’s annoying for the restaurant and the people behind you to hold up the line for 2 minutes checking your 5 bag order.
-
If Theres a Problem, Keep Your Cool
- It’s Not The End of the World If Your Order Gets Messed Up
If this happens to you, tell the employee about the problem calmly and politely. If you stay polite, it will be more likely that they try to accommodate you quickly. (I’ve seen a guy go into a long, F-Bomb filled rant about how he didn’t want pickles on his BigMac. Try and guess how we accommodated him.)

Cookies are great when they come right out of the oven, but after a few days they become stale and brittle.
By adding a slice of bread in the cookie jar a day after they have been cooked can preserve their delicious texture (and freshness). The cookies will absorb the moisture of the bread through the mighty powers of osmosis and stay fresh longer!
Bake some cookies or something, heres a great ninja recipe!

Money. As they all say is “What makes the world go round.” Thats great, well, not really for us consumers. As a ninja, I do plenty to keep myself cool. Ninjas run so fast they can never get caught in hot weather. As for now, here are some of my tips, to be more like an “Air Conditioning Ninja”. Or maybe im a Consumer Ninja? I don’t know, you be the judge.
- Doors
Close all of the doors in your house. Every room, every cabinet, I don’t care; just close them!
This makes it harder for the heat ninjas to enter your house.
- The Temperature
Lets say, you have the A/C on and its 99 degrees (Fahrenheit that is), outside. You have to run out for an hour, or two, or three. Don’t shut off the A/C! Instead, turn the temperature up 5-10 degrees. This will make the A/C run less, but when you get home you can turn it back down.
- Air Filter
These are most often located near the return air duct near the air handler or in a return air grill (or grills). Check these every 30 to 90 days. Having pets may also cause more debris to enter the filter.
- Floors
Right now I feel like the guy who sings the “Mr Clean” song. “Doors, Floors, Walls, Halls.. Blap a’ dee blap blah blah.” If your house is more than 1 floor high, ONLY turn on the A/C unit for the floor you are most active on. If you want to save some money, having 1 A/C unit on is better than having 2 (duh!!!). Ok, so my advice- Turn the A/C on upstairs (most often thats where everyone lives), and then leave the kitchen for the heat ninjas to raid. The worst damage they will do is raid your refrigerator.
Ok, so that sums it up! Any other advice for A/C efficency, or storys you would like to share– -theres that small box under this text that has something to do with ‘comments’. Click it and spit out your words. We love to hear ‘em!
