Are you planning on making a garden walkway this summer with your Mom, Dad, or a friend? Well, learn today how to make that task easier and garden better looking!
Basic materials:
- Bricks
- Small shovel
- Gravel
- Trash bags (Heavy Duty)
- A Little Creativity For The Design of the Walkway (Use Your Imagination!)
Lets Get Designing!
- First you will want to plan and mark the walk way from point A to point B. You will need to decide if you would like it to be straight or curvy. (I personally like to be creative so I chose curvy.)
- Next you will need to begin digging 5-6 inches into the ground. Save the dirt! You will need it later.
- Then, take the trash bags and open them so that you can pour the gravel on them and the gravel will sit right on top of the bags and not directly lye on the ground. (The reason for the trash bags is: If you decide to get rid of the walk way later on in life.) Only put a thin to medium layer of gravel so that the brick or what you chose to use for your walk way won’t stick too far out of the ground.
- After that, take the brick or which ever you chose to use and begin placing them into the ground and spacing them evenly in the spaces. ( You will want to tightly pack these together so they won’t come loose.)
- Finally, stomp on every inch of the walk way so that none of the bricks are loose. Now you can walk around in your beautiful garden any time with out getting muddy!
