GIMP, A free Photoshop Alternative

As a Graphic Designer, I’m always looking for great photo editing software. The one that I have found to work the best is Photoshop. However, unless you’ve got $600 lying around this may not be the best option for you. So, while surfing the net I found a more “Wallet Friendly” alternative!
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulator) is a free and fully functional photo manipulator. It can be used for anything from a simple ‘paint’ program to an advanced graphic editor. When I tried it, I found that It ran a lot like Adobe Photoshop but lacked some of the more “advanced” tools that I’ve come to require (IE. Specific plugins).
I would recommend GIMP to anybody who needs a Photo Editor, but can’t afford the big name software like Photoshop.

Its also made for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X!
