Internet SafetyAre you sometimes hesitant on clicking on links, worried that the other side of the link might install malicious software on your PC? Well… rest assured, with programs like McAfee SiteAdvisor, you can feel safe knowing the links you click on search engines like Google are worry-free.

You can download McAfee SiteAdvisor at SiteAdvisor.com!

How it works

McAfee SiteAdvisor relies on a simple principle: Sites are rated by McAfee virtual machines, which test a website’s downloads, links and other content. For example, when you search something on Google, SiteAdvisor puts a small icon beside all links. The icon is either green, yellow or red to signify if the site is Safe, OK, or malicious.

With this tool, you can rest assured of the safety of you and your computer on the internet! Additionally, SiteAdvisor is a free tool that you can use as a plug-in with Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Note: This is not a replacement for an Anti-Virus program, but rather a tool to help you make smart choices on the web.

AVG free 8.0 also comes with something similar. I don’t usually trust McAfee.
