Ever wonder how those people just give the greatest demonstrations of what’s on their computer screen? Well that is actually called “Screen Casting”, and generally all the programs that do this cost lots of money. However, for you Windows people out there, uTipu has released a free program to do that! Unfortunately you won’t be seeing video tutorials from me as I only use Mac OS X, and haven’t found a freeware program to do this yet.

You can download uTipu here, and they are nice enough to provide a video demonstration!

    Try http://www.jingproject.com/.
This is what I use. Its free and it’s only real limitation is the lack of control for frame rate and quality etc. Oh, and the clips can be 5 minutes or less. It’ll post videos and photos to screencast site for a fee. Files as saved in .swf format with the jing logo at the end so I guess you could convert then in something like isqunt and edit the jing logo out. Good luck.
