Sed(Streamline EDitor) is a very usefull command line tool for unix platforms. It can perform a search and replace on text file, however the version of sed on Solaris cannot actually save the file. Not sure why but i find it idiotic however instead of typing sed just type perl -pi -e and that will perform your replacement example “sed” command:
perl -pi -e ’s/find/found/g’ /root/example

I have added an extra horizontal ad banner after the first post to hopefully generate some revenue for our upcoming contest on the 1st of March. If this bothers you please let us know in the comments so we can either change/remove it!
Edit: Due to the feedback I did move the ad to below the 3rd post. I think this is a much less intrusive spot for the ad.

However if you have a TI-xx calculator laying around your house we highly recommend using it, as it is significantly better then any other calculator we have tried!

The lights used in remote controlls are invisible to the human eye but electionic devices do infact see them! By swapping the LED’s out of an infared device such as a remote control with the LED’s in a simple flash light you can create a Night Vision add on for your camcorder!
