I am known as the tech guy in school. If you need help with something tech, im the one you want to talk to. I have an iPhone. Whoop-dee-doo! What happens when your friends take your abilities to a new level, making claims that you can make your own iPhone? To be honest, I can’t make my own iPhone… at least a working one. To add a twist to the story, the ability of operation to the phone was not specified, thus I took a basic iPhone template and used some of my artistic skills to create a good Holiday, paper iPhone!
What you need:
- Paper iPhone Christmas Template + Image (Download here)
- X-acto Knife or Blade
- Straight edge (Ruler)
- Tape
- Thin paper backing (Cereal box? Optional for model support)
- Small Hershey’s chocolate bars (Optional)
The How-To:
- Download and then print out your iPhone Template.
Be sure to print the Word document, not the picture itself! The document is scaled to the size of a real iPhone. - With your X-acto knife or blade, cut out the iPhone around the design.
There should be no white paper surrounding the iPhone cutout. (Only black tabs)

- Cut out the slits for the tabs to fit into. (Labeled on the template)
*Optional: Tape a thin paper backing to your iPhone design and cut that out in coordination with your iPhone design to add stability / tangibility. - Fold the sides and tabs of the design inward. (Reference picture)

- Starting with the side of the iPhone, fold the tabs into the slits and then tape each slit.
- Next, do the same with the bottom slit.
*Optional: After taping the bottom and side, maybe you want to add some more meaning to your Holiday iPhone and put some small Hershey’s chocolate bars in it through the open top slit. - Lastly, carefully tape up the top slit and wish your receiver a Merry Christmas!
