OK i am not sure what octet is for my ip address when entering the DMZ. i stuck a 104 and it allowed me to save it but when i test my xbox is still says moderate. I have the verizon fios actiontek modem

dude i went all the way to step 11(eleven)…i failed my MTU….i thought this was supposed to help….when i entered my default gateway it made me fail DNS ……what should i do now?

hey i have a linksys wrt55ag and it didnt work. i did everything right, im about to just go buy an xbox compatible one. thanks for your help though.

Okay I was having similar problems with my Netgear WGT624v3 Router.

Almost none of the above advice worked for me. But here is what did:

On the left hand side, on the very bottom there is a ‘Knowledge Base’ link under web support. Click that. You will see a picture that says Xbox Live Compatible. Under the picture it says “See this page for which models and firmware are Xbox-compatible.”

I was then linked to the Firmware updates on http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/wgt624v3.asp

I downloaded the Verzion 2.0.26_1.0.1 ( For North America Only) file. Then I opened up the file on my Netgear page and updated. My DMZ setting is off (Located in the WAN Setup screen) and my UPnP is on.

I did every step and my NAT is still moderate. Everything went smooth except for enabling the DMZ. I found the DMZ, and clicked enable, but it didnt ask for me to type anything(the octet stuff) and it didnt ask me to save settings, it just enabled, but I ran the test on the 360 again and it’s still moderate. What do i do?

when i got to step 13, it all fell apart, there was no link that brought me to DMZ so i couldnt finish, please help me!

ok im getting pissed, ive been trying this for over 3 hours, and NOTHINGS happening, and i cant find this DMZ thing…..i need help now
