Sony has definitely taken a turn this holiday season as its console sales have increased greatly, they also will probably be getting more games from the newer or smaller game companies. This is largely due to the fact that Sony has cut the prices of both the PS3($100 cheaper) and the Development Kit for PS3(which got cut in half!). This could bring Sony back on top again or atleast above Xbox 360 as it does have its advantages.
This may also put Blueray on top of HDDVD since a lot of households will be “blueray capable” due to the extra PS3’s. As with Xbox 360 you have to shell out $180 for a stupid drive.

doesnt matter 360 will still be better then ps3 b/c of xbox live is way better then PS3’s Home or w/e its called.
Sony hasn’t finished developing home, they have a huge update next year i think. XBL wasn’t the best when it first came out it just takes time to create.
Hmm… BluRay isnt exactly going to top anything as far as we can say, due to supporters lack of use with it… Not alot of game makers or companys feel like supporting or even taking advantage of the excess space for high quality on BluRay technology.
Yeah cause Blu-ray is so unpopular… Oh wait its beating HD-DVD senseless in sales and currently has almost all the big producers supporting it. Like Disney,Warner Bros,and 20th Century Fox. Paramount only switched cause Toshiba payed them 150 million to do so. Sadly for HD-DVD all the Speilberg and Transformers will come to Blu-Ray which leaves which paramount vids again.
I dont think this will bring them on top at all. Compared to the Xbox 360, most of the ps3’s games suck, and most of the big hits that have been coming out lately or only for 360.
Yeah thanks for using facts Pork it makes your argument look strong. FYI the PS3 is actually on pace with the 360 in its first year and slightly ahead. Also the games do not suck for the PS3 and for that matter have you played any. Wait you haven’t you are just flaming what you don’t have. I can flame what I want cause I own all 3 and I can get a picture if you think I’m being deceitful. What big hits does the 360 have next year that aren’t multi-platform if I may ask or were they just riding it till Halo 3 and just quiting just like Xbox and Halo 2. I bought a PS3 because I knew that in 10 years they would still make games for it unlike microshaft.
I believe its called Microsoft not microshaft. on subject: sadly i dont own any next gen consoles but i read a lot on the internet and watch tv, and it looks like the ps3 is farther than the 360 was after its first year. and javaiswrong is right, sony will still be making games for the ps3 even after the ps4 comes out, like they are doing for the ps2, microsoft wont be (probably) and the ps3 come with blue ray, so it is a 2-in-1 so it will probably get some people with that.
