Dance Dance Revolution is a favorite game among many people. Through the years it has expanded to many game systems, and has now evolved into other simulation games like Guitar Hero. It is filled with beat stomping songs that will knock you off your feet (literally). If you ended up tired of playing but really liked songs on your game, this is an easy method to extract them from your disc and putting them on your computer (or later burn them onto an audio CD… heck, put them on your iPod).

What You Need

• A DDR Game Disc (PSX / PS2)
• BeMedia 3 package (Download here)

Preparation

1. Insert your DDR game disc into your CD drive.
2. To be sure your audio has no skips while extracting, copy all of the files you see on your disc to a location on your hard drive.

Extraction!

1. With BeMedia III downloaded, extract it to your desktop. Run the program by opening “BeMedia Ripper 3″.
   If this doesn’t work, don’t panic! Check out the README file, otherwise ask on our forums.
2. Once BeMedia III is open, you will see various input boxes and a drop down box. Start off with the drop down “Game Select & Required File”. Select the game title you are going to extract.
3. Next to the game title you selected, you will see a file name.
   Example of game title selection: CS-Dance Dance Revolution (PSX STR.BIN)
4. By knowing that file name, click the browse button for “Input File” (the topmost field) and navigate to the location where you copied your CD’s contents.
   Example of input file location: C:\DDRBackup\Konamix\STR.bin
5. Were almost done, now make a folder where ever you want to store your songs. In the “Output Folder” field, enter in your newly created folders location.
   Example of output folder location: C:\DDRSongs\Konamix
6. Other settings in BeMedia such as conversion volume and rip selection can be changed or left as is. All you have to do is click “Begin” and wait for the songs to extract.

When your done extracting, exit BeMedia and go to your output folder. There you will see all of the MP3’s BeMedia extracted and you can start listening to them!
