After you have setup your Wii Shop and wireless internet connection on your Nintendo Wii, you are probably wondering whats next. The Wii Internet Channel is a popular addition many are adding to their consoles, how ever after some quick searching on the internet, the Wii Internet Channel will no longer remain as a free download (starting July 1st 2007). Its time to get your download on, because you don’t want to miss out on this freebie!
Earlier this month Nintendo had made the announcement, however I am not your average gamer so the information was deemed unalarming. Currently, the only information I do know is that Nintendo plans on charging Wii users 500 Wii Points (or $5) to download the channel in the future.
Result:
Add and download the Internet Channel to your Wii Menu.
How:
- Turn on your Wii and access the main menu.
- Click “Wii Shop”. Press “Start”.
- Once it is done loading, press “Start Shopping”.
- In the Wii Shop Channel, click “Wii Ware”.
- Click the “Internet Channel” listing in the Catalog.
- Press “Download”. A confirmation box will appear. Just press “OK”. (Bottom right)
- Another confirmation box will appear about the size of the download. “Download this software now?”. Press “Yes”. (Bottom left)
- The download will now start with Mario running across the bottom of the screen. Be patient, it may take a few minutes to a while.
- Once complete, it will tell you “Download Successful”. Just go back to your Wii Menu and you are all setup!

Are you be able to download stuff, because i want to play roms, or does java work? If it does i can just play roms on retrouprising.com.
