This is a fun one. Here are the steps.
- Obtain a grape, sharp knife, microwave, small plate, and paper towel.
- Slice the grape on the plate short ways (so the knife is going through the center touching the least amount of grape)
- Get the piece that wasn’t from the stem (bottom of the grape) and slice it through the center (so the knife touches the
wet part of the grape) but leave the little flap of skin between the pieces. - Open the grape while leaving skin attached. It should look like a butterfly kind of shape. Place it face down on the paper towel and tap it lightly, removing the liquid from the face of the grape. Be sure not to crush or squeeze the grape.
- Put grape on plate face up (so the revealed side is up)
- Microwave!

Pretty sure there is electricity flowing between the two halves through the connecting skin, and that makes a spark. (the initial spark) Then more are made, causing fire, and when you microwave fire, plasma.

Ps. the version of this i saw when i first discovered this said thad doing this made a VERY TOXIC GAS that didnt have a smell so you need to be very careful!

Yeah, no toxic gases, thats only if you do it under a beaker with fire.
thats to much work just stick a toothpick in some modeling clay, light the toothpick on fire and turn the microwave on enjoy!! :]
