Piracy; a term originating from “pirate” which is one who scavenges the barren sea for treasure. Just when you thought legal media wasn’t good enough, think again. The global piracy rate in 2002 was measured at 40%. Thats an incredible amount of people!
With the RIAA under the covers ready to capture 1 or 2 pirates, there is no path for them to stop it. If you were ever on the edge of buying something or getting it for free, pause for a moment and think about what you are getting. I am not convincing anyone to steal or buy music, I am only telling you a few reasons why it is sometimes better to buy music.
- You get what you expect.
- When you buy music, you know what you are receiving. A genuine piece of entertainment.
- Its legal!
- Its better to legally own music than to buy it. You have pride of owning it.
- Safe, and tangible.
- With an actual CD the chances of losing it are slim. With digital media, you can easily misplace or delete it.
- Cost less then piracy.
- Buying CD’s is legal. Stealing CD’s isn’t. It could cost you more money to pay a fine for stolen music if you get caught.
Please, don’t steal music. At Tutorial Ninjas we encourage you to buy music.
Keep in mind: ninjas are way cooler than pirates.
