• So i stop by the mall before work and wait outside the apple store for about 5 minutes for them to open. I don’t look around and made it to the counter before they booted up their new toys. Normally you purchase your stuff from one of there actual computers that look like imacs. However this time was different they have a portable device that looks like a barcode scanner with a swipe for credit cards. I glance over at the screen and what did I see??? Window Mobile is booting up!!! I was astonished and asked if that was what real and indeed it is apple is trying to get stores to switch over from using their normaly computer to these wireless check outs to stop lines from going outside the store(they can check out anywhere in the store due to wireless). I guess not even apple locked down their iphones so much they couldn’t even code some software for it.

• Anywho I am always a bit jumpy when it comes to security so this may seem far-fetched. But at the place I regulary will go hang out with my laptop chatting with a few friends their is sending credit card transactions wireless, and to top it off its a windows os! Now i’m sure its hard to sniff out those packets but I am not sure, I may go back later in the week just to test it out. But I believe their is an bluetooth exploit roaming around that may be able to get into those devices.

• Spread the news whether its from my blog or you go splog this, spread the news! I don’t want to see a windows flag in my sacred hang out ever again!

• I did ask the sales associate if this was a local thing or national and it is indeed a national, so if you are skeptical go out and check for yourself!
• I am not a microsoft fanboy bashing apple, I cringe every time i see the boot up screen of windows.
