At first I was very disappointed with myself buying a ps3, I thought it was horrid. However it also stopped selling well on ebay/craigslist and my wii had lost its spark(after playing it so much it just isn’t fun anymore) so i decided to make the best of it and noticed I had severely overlooked this console. Spending that extra hour setting it up with Yellowdog linux and I had everything I ever wanted in a console! Here is just a few reasons why the PS3 rocks so hard:

• The following won’t void warranty:
  • Replacing the harddrive, for more storage.
  • Installing a secondary Operating System(Linux is even Supported).
• Additional Prices?:
  • Online fee? None!
  • Headset? Any bluetooth such as your cell phones
• Controller:
  • Hybrid, the same type of button mashable controller we have played with for generations. With its sensors to make it more interactive
  • Safety! No broken TV, Windows, bones, etc. that the some Wii players have encountered
• With Yellowdog on it I have:
  • Watched xvid TV shows/movies.(the type you can download).
  • Downloaded torrents using my favorite torrent client(rtorrent)
  • Emulated some pc classics such as Starcraft and played them on my big screen over battle.net, using the wiimote as a mouse!
• Itself:
  • Is a low end pc with the capability to play next gen games.
  • Wireless Media Center
  • More portable then a pc so I can bring it to LAN parties and play: Computer Games, PS2 games, and PS3 Games.
  • A pirates best friend, due to the fact it plays anything in hi-def on your bigscreen without hassle.
  • A blue-ray player, I am not too happy with HD/Blueray dVd’s yet. However it is nice to be able to play them if i need to. Just the player alone is expensive.
• The Future:
  • Play MAME,NES,SNES,etc. roms with the wireless controller.
  • Hook up some sort of TV Tuner(IPTV anyone?) so i can watch TV in high def while chatting on aim all on my big screen at the same time!
