Recover an AIM Password without the ASQ.
Posted by: ipp in Technology, tags: AIM, Password RecoveryWhy:
- Your have access to a friends email, reset the password and see what it is to play a joke on him later!
- You got hacked, yep it happens to the best of us even me.
- You just love to see how unsecure companies are!
- Is this particular link special?
- Normally you need a ASQ(A Security Question) to reset. This shows the password in plain text!
How:
- Go to http://canada.aol.com/aim/password.adp
- Type the screen name
- Check the email that the screen name was registered too! and record the password
Now wasn’t that simple? This worked on December 6th, 2006. They may fix it ![]()

it didn’t work. and even if it did. the way you were explaining it, it seemed like you needed the other persons email to get the password… which is ridiculous.
Yes you do need the email and it works…. I’m sorry I am not going to tell you how to just go into any AIM Account, that would be illegal and get patched instantly… This is ment for yourself, if someone reset your password.
